    About our prints

What type of prints are these?

All our prints are produced using a superior, archival quality, Giclée printing process (see below).  Each signed print is professionally printed to order on the finest 100% cotton Hahnemühle Photo Rag 310gsm art paper. The image is printed with a white border on all sides and is signed in pencil bottom-right, just outside the image area.

    What is a Giclée Print?

Our Giclée prints are produced to the highest archival standards on superior heavyweight art paper using the finest, pigment-based, fine art inks.  Our paper of choice is Hahnemühle 'Photo Rag' (see below) The prints are created using Epson UltraChrome K3 inks, air dried, and subsequently treated with an invisible UV-protection for archival longevity.  This combination of high quality paper and ink results in prints with strong colours and deep blacks that feel rich and high in contrast.

    Tell me about the paper

Hahnemühle Photo Rag® is one of the world’s most popular papers and the valued all-rounder for high-quality FineArt inkjet printing. The white cotton artist’s paper, with its characteristic, wonderfully soft feel, boasts a lightly defined felt structure, lending each artwork a three-dimensional appearance and impressive pictorial depth. Combined with the matt premium inkjet coating, this paper produces outstanding prints that feature brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts and perfect reproduction of detail. This acid- and lignin-free classic meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance and is specially designed for FineArt applications.

What are the dimensions of the 'A-size' papers?

The A-size of the print refers to the overall paper size.  The dimensions of the paper which the images are printed on are as follows:

    A2: 420mm x 594 mm (16.5 x 23.4 in)

    A3: 297mm x 420 mm (11.7 x 16.5 in)

    A4: 210mm × 297 mms (8.27 × 11.69 in)

What are the dimensions of the images within the paper?

The images are printed within the overall paper dimensions to allow for a white border and the signature, outside of the image area.  The images have varying dimensions depending on the camera used, and the crop of the image. If the exact image dimensions are required prior to purchase, please get in touch via email, stating the title of the image and the size you are interested in and I will supply the image area dimensions to you.

Can I get the prints in sizes smaller or larger than the sizes on this site?

Yes you can. Contact me for specific sizing. In certain contries you can also order the prints to be produced on canvas or acrylic.

How are the prints and posters delivered?

All prints are delivered in strong card envelopes with stiffening inside or in sturdy cardboard tubes to prevent them getting damaged in transit.  Both the boxes and tubes are shipped with an outer layer of packaging.  This means the box or tube remains clean, and postage-label-free, should you wish to give the print as a gift.

    What are your shipping charges?

Shipping charges for EU countries & the rest of the world will be added at the checkout
